Hello, I am Suzanne Crockford, an experienced massage therapist based in the village of Bramley in the north of Hampshire, and I hold the following massage qualifications:

  • BTEC Level 5 Diploma Clinical Sport & Remedial Massage
  • ITEC Diploma Anatomy Physiology & Massage
  • VTCT Level 3 Diploma Sports Massage
  • VTCT Level 3 Diploma  Management of activities injuries
  • ITEC Diploma Equine Sports Massage

I’ve always been an active person – as a child I wanted to participate in anything and everything sporty, and that desire has stayed with me into adulthood. I’ve ridden horses all of my life, I played netball to county level, and I am still an active runner.

Human anatomy has always interested me, and with my own sporting experience in mind I wanted to understand how to maintain peak performance and reduce the risk of injury. Having already qualified as a Swedish massage therapist I then furthered my education to include sports massage. I spent 4 years working alongside the sports therapist for the Hampshire North County Netball Association, providing first aid, sports massage and injury management at training, match days and tournaments across the country.

It was only natural therefore to combine my interest in anatomy and sports with my passion for horses. In my youth I attended Berkshire College of Agriculture and obtained British Horse Society level 1 & 2 before being sidetracked into office life. I then decided to revisit an equine career and trained as an equine sports massage therapist with the world renowned Mary Bromiley MBE, who has been a practising chartered physiotherapist for over 35 years (Mary was the official physiotherapist for both horse and rider at the Olympics and World Championships for the New Zealand Three Day Event Team). I also groom at local and national competitions (including both winter and summer national championships) for dressage rider Debbie Poynter on Keystone For Real, who is currently working at Prix St George.

I’m now very excited to be able to use my knowledge and experience to help individuals, sportspeople, riders and horses maintain and improve their health and level of performance.
